This is all about Neil Strauss Rules of the Game. You might have heard of Neil Strauss from his book that brought pickup into mainstream media: The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists.

Neil Strauss is a good friend of mine and had sent me an advanced copy of his new book Rules of the Gameseveral months ago (sometime last year I think). I finally had a chance to deeply review it and give my opinion about it.

Unlink his first book The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists, Neil Strauss Rules of the Game is more of a how-to book than a novel. Each day for 30 days, the reader must follow the missions for that day. The aspiring pickup artist must not read ahead until he has completed the mission for the day. The goal of the 30 days is to have a date within those 30 days. Just one date. A date meaning cold approaching someone and meeting up with them later. For example, if you approached a girl at the mall, exchanged numbers, and then met her up later for coffee = that equals a date. Or another example is if you open a girl at the bookstore and met her up later that night at a bar. The exchange of numbers is not necessary to get a date and win the goal, but it sure it helpful.

The only way to know if Rules of the Game works is to try it. Since I am already damn good at meeting women and getting women to sleep with me, I have bestowed the Neil Strauss Rules of the Gameto one of my many students.

I didn’t want to pick a student who was already good at meeting women or even mildly good. I want to see is Neil’s stuff really works so I’ve picked the worst of the worst. This 28 year old virgin as never had a girlfriend before and has never been on a date (off of a cold approach). He has been set up before by friends (where the date ended miserably), but he has never gotten out on a date before from just meeting a chick. His name is Bryan.

For the next thirty days, we will see if Neil Strauss’ material will help turn this ugly duckling to a charming man who can get dates. Now I don’t want to push him too hard and want to see how far he can go all by himself, so I will let him do the posting from his perspective and include thoughts that are going on in his mind as he’s reading Neil Strauss Rules of the Game.

Bryan will try his best to complete the missions and challenges and report his findings in this blog for 30 days. He will read Neil Strauss Rules of the Game and report back to you. It will possibly be some of the same emotions and feelings that you will be going through as you read Neil Strauss Rules of the Game.Now I know Neill Strauss is good at his stuff and won’t let me down.
