No, they are not the same person. Neil Strauss also known from his pickup artist name Style or his other pen name Chris Powles. He is famous for writing the book The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists. This book is basically the bible for all pickup artists and men trying to attract and seduce women.

Tyler Durden, derived from the famous movie Fight Club is known in the pickup community as Tyler, whose real name is Owen Cook. He is actually one of the main characters in Strauss’ book The Game. and that is where he got his start. Tyler is famous for being the man behind Real Social Dynamics, a company he created to help men learn how to attract and establish relationships with the opposite sex.

Let’s go over the similarities and differences between these two important figures in the pickup community: Neil Strauss Tyler Durden

Neil and Owen are both pioneers of the seduction community. Neil Strauss Tyler Durden or Owen Cook as he is called. They both lived on a Los Angeles mansion with the famous Mystery from VH1’s popular TV show, The Pickup Artist. This was called Project Hollywood. Neil Strauss Tyler Durden both have their own product that they sell to customers, Neil with the Annihilation Method and Owen with Real Social Dynamics. However, Owen also known as Tyler Durden, offers private coaching to his customers while Neil Strauss does not have that kind of service available. Neil Strauss Tyler Durden would work as a good team if they worked together.

Neil Strauss has a long-term girlfriend from Courtney Love’s all-girl band called The Chelsea. His long-term girlfriend is Lisa Leveridge. But it looks like recently they separated.

It is unknown whether or not Tyler Durden or Owen is in a relationship right now but it could be quite possible. He is not widely known to divulge all his personal details to everyone.

Although Neil Strauss has written more books, Tyler Durden is in the works of writing a book to accompany his DVD set that he recently released: Blueprint Decoded. It was set to come out in 2006 but has been postponed to sometime in 2009 and maybe even later. He does write works for his company Real Social Dynamics also known as RSD to his customers such as “How to Implement as Habit” which is a real popular title. Imagine if Neil Strauss Tyler Durden offered some sort of pickup service or product together. How awesome would that be?

After the stint in Los Angeles with Project Hollywood, Neil Strauss Tyler Durden left each other with a bit of animosity and I do not believe they both have reconciled since that book. I am sure they respect one another for each being pioneers and entrepreneurs in the pickup and seduction community.

Neil Strauss Tyler Durden are one of the most well respected pickup artists in the game today. They are pioneers in this new wave of seducing and attracting women and will be here for the long haul.
